In a small town, a boy named Rohan moved into a new house with his family.
The house was big, quiet, and a little old.

Everything seemed normal — except for one strange thing.

There was a mirror in the hallway.

It was tall, with a golden frame. Although the glass looked dusty, it was still clear. No matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t move it. It felt stuck — like it wanted to stay.

At night, odd things began to happen.

Sometimes, Rohan heard soft tapping near the hallway.
Tap… Tap… Tap.
It sounded like fingers on glass.

One evening, he woke up to get water. As he passed the hallway, he glanced at the mirror. Then he froze.

In the reflection, he saw himself — but something was wrong.
The boy in the mirror was smiling, but Rohan wasn’t.

Even worse, the smile grew wider. Too wide.
It looked wrong… almost evil.

He stepped back in fear.

Suddenly, the mirror version of him moved, even though Rohan stood still. Then, the reflection waved at him.

Rohan ran to his room and hid under the blanket. He tried to sleep, but the tapping started again.
Tap. Tap. Tap.

The next morning, he told his parents everything.
They just laughed and said, “It’s only a mirror.”

Later that night, Rohan stayed in bed. However, the tapping returned — louder than before.

Then came a whisper.
“Come play with me…”

He shut his eyes, too scared to move.

When he opened them again, the mirror was no longer in the hallway. It was standing at the foot of his bed.

And this time, there was no reflection at all.
