In a quiet village, there was an old well behind the school.
No one used it. No one went near it.
They said the well could whisper.
Tina, a curious 10-year-old girl, didn’t believe in ghost stories. One day, after class, she walked to the back of the school and stood near the well.
It was covered with wood and rope. Dark. Still.
She leaned in and listened.
At first, she heard nothing.
But then…
a soft voice came from the dark hole.
“Tina…”
She jumped back. “Who’s there?” she asked.
No one answered.
Her friends told her, “Don’t go near it again. The well is cursed.”
But Tina wanted to know the truth.
That night, she returned with a flashlight.
She removed the wooden cover and looked inside.
Nothing but darkness.
She threw a small stone in.
No sound.
Then the voice came again. Louder.
“Tina… come down…”
She dropped the flashlight in fear. It rolled near the edge and shined down the well.
For a second, she saw a face.
Pale. Smiling. Eyes wide open.
Then — two hands reached up from the darkness!
Tina screamed and ran.
The next day, the school covered the well with cement. Forever.
No one spoke of it again.
But sometimes, at night, if you walk past the old school…
You might still hear it.
“Come down…”
